Account & Authentication

How do I sign up?

Go to percent.reviews and tap Sign In. Enter your email and we'll send you a magic link. No passwords, ever.

I can't log in — what do I do?

Check your spam folder for the magic link email. Still stuck? Email us at webmaster.percent@gmail.com.


Writing Reviews

How do I write a review?

Reviews are written on the Percent iOS app. Download it, sign in with biometric authentication, and search for what you want to review. If it doesn't exist yet, you can add it.

Can I write reviews on the web?

Not yet. The web is read-only — browse, search, and share. Writing, voting, and following require the iOS app. Web support is coming once we bring biometric authentication to the browser.

Why does writing require biometric authentication?

It's how we verify every review comes from a real, accountable human — not a bot or a fake account. It's a higher bar than email, and that's the point.

What content is allowed?

Keep it real. No fake stories, no AI-generated content, no personal attacks. Humor is welcome — harassment isn't.


Search & Discovery

What if the thing I want to review doesn't exist?

Open the iOS app and search — you'll be prompted to create it if it doesn't exist yet. Percent is an open index. Anything goes.

How do hashtags work?

Hashtags are open and user-created. Use whatever makes sense. Popular ones naturally rise, niche ones stay findable.


Votes & Interactions

How do upvotes and downvotes work?

Votes are cast through the iOS app and require biometric authentication. This keeps rankings free from bots and fake accounts.

Can I follow reviewers I trust?

Yes — through the iOS app. Following requires biometric authentication.


Reporting & Safety

How do I report a review or user?

Email webmaster.percent@gmail.com with a link and a brief description. We review all reports manually.

Can I block someone?

Blocking is coming soon. For now, email us and we'll take care of it.


Account Settings

How do I change my email or username?

Go to your profile settings. You'll need to verify via email before changes are applied.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Once deleted, your account and all associated data are permanently removed.

How do I export my data?

Email webmaster.percent@gmail.com and request a data export. We'll send you a copy of your reviews, profile, and activity.
